New Shoes!!!

Went to M&S tonight after work, intending on spending my £30 voucher on some new jeans.......didn't get any.  Got some fancy pop socks and a funky pair of shoes instead.  *Big smile

Back to work! Boo Hiss

Bounced out of bed at 6:50am this morning..........NOT!   Back to normal, for a couple of days.  I thought the day would drag, but fortunately it didn't. We had a good laugh, spent alot of time chatting and even found time to go the Rhode  Island Coffee for some festive hot chocolate!!!

Took some pics of my new cushions and throw, for my bed.  Complete with kitty cat!

Pride and Prejudice

Just walloped another mince pie!   Off to Sam's in a bit to watch Pride and Prejudice  (5 hours of it).  Its the Colin Firth version.   It's always been on my "To-Do" list and its happening today!   I'm gonna suggest we do it in two halves though, as I don't think my arse could sit for 5 hrs solid.

Christmas Eve has been cancelled!

No nibbles or christmas cheer today at Jill and Marks due to a cold and a cough :-(

Spent the whole day chilling out,  watching films with the folks.

More snow this evening!!!  I have never seen snowflakes as big in my life!!   I cannot remember the last time it snowed so much.  Or maybe I can......when I was 11 and I wore a navy duffle coat and I went to kick a ball in the playground and I ended up on my arse!

Amazing snow today!!!!  Must have done about 2 inches in 2 hrs.  As you see, we used the time constructively at work, by having a snow ball fight.  I didn't participate, I just recorded it all  for prosperity!

Its VERY cold outside

It is very cold today......infact too cold for more snow!
It was quite hair-raising getting to work!  One part involving trying to drive up a hill, which I'd rather not do again anytime soon!
Its been party day at work too, I got my Imogen Heap CD (just love her) some necklaces and a bottle of Hardys sparkling blush.  Christmas dinner was yummy too!

All wrapped up!

I have wrapped ALL my christmas presents!  Yippeee!   Had a lovely afternoon watching movies, eating mince pies and and chilling out.  It has even snowed again today. Looks quite heavy now.  God, knows what it's gonna be like driving to work tomorrow.

Due to the weather, I haven't been anywhere today.  I was gonna nip out and get a couple of cd's, one for me and one for a present. I';m gonna have to call on my way home from work one night.  Weather permitting.

My works Christmas Party.

Sam and I got to the Marriott around 5pm, which sounds good and it would have been if we hadn't have had water dripping through our bathroom ceiling!  So we had to have a room change, bearing in mind all this to-ing and fro-ing takes up valuable "getting ready" time!  We had to cut sort our little, drinky at the bar too, to deal with all the drama.

The rooms are great though and it was worth waiting for a dry one!

We had a lovely evening...I even got up and danced!  Hahaha

It was a beautiful  bright crisp morning when we woke up  and  I

found a beautiful water feature in one of the gardens.

One my way home it started to snow....how very festive :-)

Bloch Dance Trainers

Gonna order new sneakers for my all-dayer in February.  Great, I get to have new shoes and a whole new outfit and thats just for the classes during the day!!!

This is an old post from 10/02/07 on my old msn space page.  Just made me laugh when I read it tonight........but I'm sort of in the same frame of mind today though. How come the only men that shows an interest in me lately is either well over 50, or has Lego hair!!!!!!!!!  Hahahah ya have to laugh, or ya'd just throw yourself off the nearest building!

OK.....So I know I'm no Angelina Jolie or Penelope Cruz but can someone please tell me that I'm worth more than this?!!!







Is this what being single in your (almost) mid-thirties means. Left on the scrap-heap, the shelf, with only the clinically insane men left? I give you this man who "wants to get to know me!" Do I look like I want to spend the rest of my life with a guy who goes round looking like he has a fake nose and beard, attatched to his face! I think not, my life hs been tragic enough...........

Christmas shopping- the TK Maxx way.

Did a little christmas shopping on my way home from work.  Tk Maxx is amazing for gifts!!  Got almost all of them.  Gonna get book tokens, from Waterstones,  for the children. Just need to get the wrapping done now but I think I will leave that job for the weekend, I'm planning to do that on Saturday, cos I will be fit for nothing else, after my Works night out at the Marriot!! Hahaha  I'm gonna be a good girl this year...NO HANGOVER!  Fingers crossed!

Salsa and Christmas cards

Had a good evening last night. There was optional fancy dress (if ya fancied it)  Lots of people did and they all looked great. Sue (instructor) warmed us all up by getting us all up for the merengue. I partnered her in the centre (LOL No pressure H)  It didn't help that I'd developed a sore back late in the afternoon. I got through it anyhow. I'm glad,  as Sue is not a woman to say no to!

We had an appearance from Elvis, a proposal of marriage (Very lovely moment)  even Alice Cooper turned up!

Today has been more sedate...writing christmas cards and watching christmas films. The back is a little better. Got some strong pain killers...they're great!  LOL

Salsa - The Christmas Party!

Well, its that time of year again!  We're off to our christmas salsa party this evening.  Its been a hectic week at work what with the stock take and christmas rush and I almost cant be bothered!  I haven't been to my class for a number of weeks now, due to a lack of funds and I'm afraid I will have forgotten what to do!  Time to dust off the old dance shoes!

I have been in my jewellery box today and it is collapsing! I think my cat Lily, has had something to do with that though!

Cassidy Loves X Factor

Spent the evening with my friend Kerry,  watching X Factor with her daughter.  Took my camera but she didn't want her photo taken!  So I just got the back of her head all the time!!   GRRRRRR!!  

Kerry is gonna get me The Killers live CD for Christmas!  We watched the DVD last night, they were amazing!!!

Curry, Friends and Shopping!

Watching the final of I'm a Celebrity, get me out of here!!   Cheering for Gino D'acampo....and he won.   Had indian food....my favourites Tandori chicken and Chicken Korma (I know, its boring, but I know what I like, so why change it?!)

Been to The Trafford Centre today. Got my christmas Party outfit, in the first shop we went in!! Shocking, I know!!  Haha

Had Lunch in Selfridges at Yo Sushi.......hehe where else, would we go?!!
